Small Groups and Clubs
Our church invests in and values "small groups". Small Groups are an excellent way to build friendships, study the Bible, find accountability, reach out to our community, and develop leaders.
You may like to join a small group to
- Study a book of the Bible
- Examine a spiritually-themed book
- Concentrate on topics that are relevant to your current stage of life, such as marriage or parenting studies, or teen issues
Why Small Groups?
There are 63 “one another” verses in the New Testament. They include exhortations to love, encourage, honor, teach, serve, accept, build, forgive and to spur one another on to love and good deeds. At Evergreen we believe one of the best ways to live out these commands is within the context of a small group of Christ-followers that has mature and skilled servant-leaders who are responsible for the group and accountable to the pastoral team.
What Do They Look Like?
Small groups are gatherings of approximately 3-12 people who meet regularly to love, learn and serve together. Groups often emphasize and encourage informal connections between the meetings. Topics for discussion include books of the Bible or studies ranging from the basics of the Christian faith to marriage, parenting and special needs such as overcoming anger, grief or divorce.
Want Something Different?
Evergreen Clubs offer additional opportunities for connection and growth, but with a primary focus on social activity and relationship-building and without the ongoing commitment of a small group. These provide great opportunities to have fun and fellowship, and to invite friends and neighbors.
Here are some of our Clubs:

- Basketball (twice monthly)

- Men's Card Night (monthly)
